Interview Checklist
Over time this list has been refined where it is at the point where we feel all are valid and should be adhered to so as to insure your success on an interview. Some may sound basic but important non the less Please take a moment and internalize these suggestions. They can make all the difference.
- Firm Handshake - display of confidence
- Solid Eye Contact - shows interpersonal skills
- Compliment the environment
- Office Building
- Professional looking workforce
- Compliment his/her office and surroundings
- Show genuine interest in opportunity
- Ask intelligent questions as a result of studying internet home page
- Ask what issues are at the top of his agenda. What keeps him up at night?
- Ask what problems could I help him solve as an employee and answer how you think you could help.
- Be aggressive, display appropriate body language.. sit on the edge of your seat, nod your head to confirm you are listening and comprehending, etc.
- When answering questions, be precise. Be careful not to ramble and get off track. Shows you can communicate effectively. Very important to businesses today!
- Avoid cell phone interviews. The potential poor quality of the call can give a very poor impression of you. Always ask to get a number a call back from a land line.
- Close for the next step!!
- Convey your interest and desire to move forward.
- If answer is that they want to meet other candidates.. ask what they expect to find in others that they have not seen in you and then be prepared to counter.
